Welcome to the Woodlands College Park High School Cavalier Band web site. This web site is maintained by the Cavaliers Band Boosters for the benefit of the students, parents and staff of the band program.
The College Park High School motto is "Commitment, Pride, Honor, Success!"
We need your help. In case you were not at our last meeting, College Park Cavalier Band Boosters is launching a permanent capital contribution partnership program. The purpose of this program is to add strength and stability to our growing band program. This is the foundation we need to help our students and directors make our program a truly competitive top tier band while keeping participation as affordable as possible for all.
While routine expenses will continue to be funded by CISD and Fair Share, we will seek support from friends and families as well as community and corporate sources. Central to this program is the concept of partnership. We don't just want sponsors. We want partners who can share in our growth and successes. We want partners who experience our band and see first-hand just what participating in a strong and exciting band program means for our students and our school. We want them to feel the drums rocking the stands, hear the brass, see the smiles and share the laughter and tears. And in return, we want to share with our partners the unique experiences that only being part of our band family can provide. The attached letter and partnership form describe our program in further detail. Over time, this program will bring our band greater strength and flexibility. Right now, it will help us fill needs of a young and growing program. Our first goal is to help acquire new drum line equipment. Our existing equipment is 8 years old, with a life expectancy of 8 years. We also need to expand the drum line to keep up with and support a growing band – not to mention, they will look snazzy with our new uniforms. Yes, new uniforms are coming in spite of budget cuts, so we really can’t look to CISD for even more this year. That’s okay – this is something we can do and can take pride in.
This equipment takes about 6 months to get if ordered, quickly putting us beyond the marching season. However, Mr. Savala has located a vendor who says they have the drums and equipment in stock and can get them to us in2 weeks! We just need to be able to pay for them while they are still in stock. We need to raise nearly $20,000 quickly and more than that for the year to make it happen. If we work together, if those who can chip in and we all support each other in finding other partners, we can do this and more. Our band deserves all our support and the best we can provide so they can perform with confidence. Let’s keep building Cavalier Commitment, Pride, Honor and Success.
Please follow the links below for the letter and partnership form. If you are uncomfortable talking about money and donations but you know someone who might be interested, just let us know and we’ll talk to them. We do suggest that you talk to one of us before you approach any larger companies just in case we are already talking to them. If you have any questions, please let us know and thank you for your support.
