The 240 members of The Woodlands College Park Cavalier Band need your support.
The Band is in immediate need of equipment and instruments.
Last year, after only three years in existence, the Cavalier Band and Color Guard were finalists at Lone Star Preview, awarded best visual at finals, UIL Marching Contest Sweepstakes award winners, runner-up at Cy-Falls drum line competition, six musicians went to All State, won Best in Class at Festival Disney (Symphonic), Best Overall at Festival Disney (Wind Ensemble), and UIL Concert and Sight Reading Sweepstakes Awards for both Symphonic and Wind Ensemble.
You can help the Cavalier Band continue its success! As a first priority, the band needs additional instruments so all band members will be able to participate. We are in need of 4 Marching Baritones, 4 Marching Melophones and 2 Wooden Piccolos. The total of these items is in excess of $18,000. By helping The Woodlands College Park Cavalier Band, you are helping foster the well-rounded leaders of tomorrow. Studies show that students who participate in music find success in school, society, and life. It is Mrs. Royall’s personal philosophy that band is not a selective activity, but one that includes all students equally.
This year, The Woodlands College Park High School anticipates an enrollment of 2,560 students from throughout The Woodlands area. Unique to The Woodlands College Park High School is The Academy of Science and Technology. A significant number of the students enrolled in the Academy of Science and Technology are also members of the Cavalier Band. With your help, these high achieving students can continue to excel and make their band a source of pride for the entire Woodlands community!
