It is that time again ... time to start thinking about marching uniforms. Here is the information and the needs:
First we will be fitting all 220+ students in their marching uniform starting in the afternoon of August 2nd. Look for a uniform contract to come home. You will then need to sign it.
Next, the TOTE UNLIMITED sales days are:
- August 2, 2:30 - 4:30
- August 20, during the bar-b-que
Items for sale are:
Required items:
- Viper Marching Shoes $38/Drum Major Shoes $32
- White long-wristed gloves – at least 3 pairs are suggested $3/each
Optional Items:
- Blue garment bag with embroidered initials or name $30
- 36” Sport tote bag* with initials or name $36
- 40” Sport tote bag* with initials or name $40
We accept cash, check and credit card. Also, if you purchased your garment bag or sport tote bags during the last 2 years and it has ripped, torn or in some other way needs repair, please bring it to one of the Tote Unlimited Sale days.
HOW CAN YOU HELP:
- WASHERS - no experience or background check required.
You will come to the uniform room after every other wearing or so (a calendar will be given), pick up 10 uniforms, take them home and wash them. You hang them to dry immediately after the wash. Then return them a couple of days later. HOW EASY IS THAT!!! Email me if interested.
- STADIUM SETTER UPPER - Yes, that is the official title
One mom or dad who is willing to go to every game, transport the bleacher covers to the games, hand the bleacher covers to the kids as they enter the stadium seats and pick them up after the game is over. You will also be setting up the NEW bleacher podium for the directors. If I can't find someone willing to go to every game, we could split this between a couple of different people. July 28, 29 and 30: 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
July 28 is before the kids have to come - so I will even put kids to work!!
July 29 and 30 is during marching camp.
You do not have to be present at all times, just show up. It is a HUGE job!!! The more the merrier.
- UNIFORM FITTERS
Starting August 2 until we finish - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 12:00 - 3:00. This is a GREAT way for Freshmen parents to get to meet the kids, but ALL are welcome. It literally takes about 10 of us per day for this to run smoothly and get the maximum number of kids filtered through.
